This part-time, contract position involves creating a welcoming environment, serving as a bridge between residents and property management, and organizing engaging community activities.
Resident Advisor
Job Title: Resident Assistant (RA)
Status: Part-Time, Contract Position
Location: Sanford Courtyard Apartments, Sanford, FL
Reports to: CEO
Rate: $20 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week
Overview
Central Florida Home for Good is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Assistant to support the residents at Sanford Courtyard, an affordable housing community with up to 20 apartments. This part-time, contract position involves creating a welcoming environment, serving as a bridge between residents and property management, and organizing engaging community activities.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Support

Provide referrals to community resources as needed.

Assist residents with general inquiries and concerns, ensuring a supportive living experience.

Foster a sense of community among residents.
Communication
-
Serve as a liaison between residents and property management, facilitating clear and timely communication.

Address resident issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Community Engagement

Plan and lead 2-3 resident activities per month, such as:

Game days
-
Movie nights
-
Vision board sessions
-
Holiday celebrations
-
Educational workshops
-

Encourage resident participation in events and gather feedback to improve community programs.
Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and community activities.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.

Previous experience in customer service, social work, or community organizing is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email).

Compassionate, patient, and adaptable.
Physical Requirements

Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 25 pounds.
