About Us

"Central Florida Home for Good began as a calling I felt deep in my heart. Years ago, after a powerful sermon about serving those in need, I realized that while I had been comfortable, so many were just struggling to get by, right there in my community. My first step was starting a Bible club for children at a local shelter, which brought a bit of relief to the mothers and joy to the kids. From then on, I found myself returning to serve wherever I could, from hosting birthday parties with my son for families at a women’s center to washing clothes and cleaning showers at shelters.

After years of volunteering, I saw families who just needed a helping hand to get back on their feet. The housing system, however, often overlooked those who were barely getting by, living in cars or working full-time but unable to secure stable housing. Frustrated but inspired, I used my retirement savings to start Central Florida Home for Good in 2019. We’re here to create safe, affordable housing for individuals and families facing housing insecurity. Our first project, Sanford Courtyard, has ten occupied apartments with supportive services. And with the next phase adding ten more, we’re just getting started in making affordable housing a reality for more people in Central Florida."
